What that means in practice

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy something through one, the retailer pays us a small commission. It costs you nothing extra and it never changes the price you pay. We see a total, not who bought what.

How we write about products

Some of what we cover is gear our own family uses, and we say what worked and what did not. The rest is us gathering what is already out there — what other T1D families recommend, what manufacturers publish — into one place, in plainer language. We try to make clear which is which, and we would rather point you at a source than pretend to an expertise we do not have.

A commission never buys a recommendation. We do not accept payment for placement or for a positive write-up, and nobody sends us products to review.

Pages that carry no links at all

Our emergency references — treating a low, treating a high, ketones, sick days — carry no affiliate links, no product cards and no advertising of any kind. Those pages exist to be useful at three in the morning, and nothing on them should be selling you anything.

Fundraising for Team Bryson

We fundraise for our walk team with Breakthrough T1D. Those donations are made on Breakthrough T1D’s own site and go directly to them — the money never passes through us, and we take nothing from it. We are supporters, not affiliated with the organisation.
