We collect as little as we can get away with. Here is exactly what that means.
Needs review before launch
This page describes how the site actually works, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Have it checked before going live.
What we collect
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to see which pages are read and roughly where readers come from. It sets cookies and records a truncated IP address. We do not use it to identify individuals.
- Your email, only if you give it. If you sign up for the newsletter, we store your address with Brevo, our email provider, so we can send you the printable checklist and occasional tips.
- Affiliate cookies. If you follow a product link, the retailer — Amazon and others — may set a cookie so any purchase is credited to us. That happens on their site, under their policy, not ours.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your email address, ever.
- We do not require an account, and there is nothing to log into.
- We do not ask for health information, and you should not send us any.
Unsubscribing
Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately. You can also ask us to delete your address entirely and we will.
Children
This site is written for parents and adults managing T1D. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we start collecting anything else, we will say so here before we do it.
