Traveling with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) requires a little extra planning, but with the right supplies, you can be ready for anything—from airport delays to beach days. Whether it’s a weekend getaway or a two-week adventure, this checklist will help you stay prepared and stress-free. You can print this list to use as a checklist for yourself!

Letter from doctor

Lantus (extra in case pod stops)

Insulin vials (2)

Syringes

Skin tac

Cerave healing ointment

Tacky remover wipes

Cavilon barrier spray

Stickers Omnipod/dexcom

Vet Tape

Dexcom- 3

Extra transmitter if using G6

Snacks- sugar free candy and gum, beef jerky, PB crackers, almonds, cheez its, rice cakes, veggie straws, protein bars (even more in checked bag for hotel and snacks)

Protein shakes (put in checked bag)

Zero sugar and regular Gatorade packets

Pro Tip: Always pack double what you think you’ll need—and keep it split between carry-on and checked luggage (if applicable) to avoid surprises. We keep almost everything in our carry-on medical bag and only keep extra snacks and protein shakes in our checked luggage. We take extra snacks for bedtime snack, especially when traveling abroad.
